Going to college question?

Im currently a senior in high school and I got a D in English my freshman year, D in English my junior year, and D in US history my junior year. I didnt take summer school and I want to get accepted into Fresno State but you cannot have D's on main classes like that. I was wondering what I could do to get into Fresno State because I definately dont want to go to city college. 10 Pts for best answer.

You have to redo those classes at summer school. Most city colleges offer summer courses for people in your situation. I understand you don't want to go to a city college, but there isn't a way around it if you want to go to Fresno State. As you said, Fresno State will not accept you with D's. Sorry, I know it must suck.

Well ofcourse you should improve yoru grades overall. Maybe if you took the SAT or ACT already and you scored low you should probably re-take if your confident enough that you are sure you will get a higher score. Also if there is a sport your good at you should probably join that, and who knows the school may want you for the sport or just see your active. Maybe you should do volunteer service, join a club or so and having a high position in it like a president may also help your application look well. Although if Fresno State accepts applications on a rolling bases then you might have time to be able to do many of these suggestions and put it on your application. Although if you have to apply in a month or so you only will have so little time/ experience to do this stuff.

I think you can take a CLEP test to earn credit for those subjects. I'm not sure, though.
