  1. If you want to play college golf, you are going to have to get lessons and practice.

  2. Well, if you are shooting in the 100's, I would try to improve. Most of my high school team shoots in the low 90's and 80's. So, you need some practice. Start by getting as many instructional books as you can and read them close. Then if you feel that you have somewhat progressed, it may be wise to spend money on lessons with a good teacher. Trust me, it takes a lot of practice. As a freshman, I practiced EVERY day for 2 months, and I will be trying out in just one more day. I might not even make it, so that shows you how hard you will have to work. Good luck!

  3. Forget trying out for 110 doesn't make the grade. One has to have the talent to play college golf. It is not a training camp and few coaches have the ability to teach. Some Top notch college golf teams recruit the best then have tryouts for the team. Most of the better players have Plus handicaps  of 2 or better meaning their average scores are under par.

  4. College golf isn't about teaching you, If you didn't bring it with you, don't go looking for it.
