  1. This close to the end of your pregnancy it is normal to feel crappy. This is your body, you know it better than anyone else. Women have been delivering babies forever. Labor will start when it starts, your due date means nothing, you could go into labor 2 weeks beyond your due date. If you can't take what your feeling now, how are you going to handle a baby crying all night, being sick, or you being sick and still having to care for your child?

I'm not trying to be mean, but women gave birth long before modern medicine.

  2. yes most def ! if you are almost due!! come one baby out already!! :) good luck and those cramping are contractions when they get closer together say about 5 minutes apart!! then you go to the hospital!!

  3. Absolutely - don't be afraid to speak your mind to your doctor. When I was helping my sister through her labor, the baby wasn't progressing for 24 hours. The doctor wanted to send my sister home to wait it out. She was so uncomfortable though - so I insisted that the doctor give her a c-section. My sister wanted it but was afraid to speak up. Eventually the doctor agreed to do it and my nephew was born soon after. Afterwards, the doctor said it was a good decision as she may have never progressed along because the baby was too large for her frame.

So - bottom line - speak up and ask for what you want or bring someone along with you who can do it on your behalf.

    Good luck!

  4. Since your feeling sick, I'm guessing you have started slow labor and your dr will check you again and if your dilated at all, I'd think he'd tell you to check in at the hospital, over 3cm I think is when they let you come to the hospital.

  5. It's possible to be in the early stages of labor for a while.  As long as your water hasn't broken, there's no need to rush things.  It's ok to go past your due date.  Most women do!  Your Dr. will do what he feels needs to be done.
