  1. sounds like a great stag night... i dont think!

  2. the three sisters is the usual stop off for stag parties and they wil be showing the game.

A number of pubs along the grassmarket (along the road from the cowgate) will have it on big screen as well but they arent the biggest pubs around.  Great atmosphere though.

Sportsters at the rear of waverly station could be a good bet as it has a number of screens and will be a decent crowd.

I imagine finnegans wake (victoria street) will have it on as well - another large bar frequented by stags.

As for a restaurant you'll find one no problem - there are a few on princess street (the american diner chain type places) that should give you all the food you need, although i love mamas pizzeria on the grassmarket.  Haggis pizza, what more do you need on a stag bash.  Might struggle with 15 in there on a match day though!

Or you could go to Kushis for a curry (bring your own booze as they dont serve it but are happy for you to bring some) - this is next to finnegans wake on victoria street.

Or for posher nosh you cant go wrong with Howies (right opposite kushis and finnegans!).

Stay around the cowgate / grassmarket / victoria street and you cant go wrong.

Or just head to Rose street (behind princess street) - all local style boozers there and lots of them all in a row.  If you manage the pub crawl (a pint in each bar - perfect for a stag do) you are doing well.  most if not all will show the game as well and you might get free pies out of some.

  3. Dont go to Edinburgh...it is a total toilet, full of lawyers, junkies and prostitutes...As for Hearts and Hibs, they are total muppets            You would be better going to Glasgow,at least you could see some good football, and have a good night out......Followed by the traditional visit to the Royal Infirmary,to get your face stitched up....Hee,Hee,and they say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit eh!

  4. There are loads of very good pubs to visit and that will show live football on the telly. It would all depend on where you are staying as to the nearest ones however in the city centre Weatherspoon's in George Street is as good as any and the prices much better than most of the others. Lots of much smaller pubs litter Rose Street and the surrounding area so there is no chance that you will go short of a pint or miss the football.
