Going to grade 8 graduation dance with a shorter boy..?

i have nothing against shorter people, but one of my friends asked me to go to the grade eight graduation dance with him. of course i said yes cause hes a really nice person.

im just extremely ... BLAH about how im going to actually slow dance with him. hes about 2 inches shorter, and though hes nice, its really embaressing! i cant really.. lie my head on his shoulder and i think its sorta weird he has to look up to me when im dancing with him. ugh. im really shy about this stuff. what is a girl to do?!

Two inches isn't much of a difference.  Wear flats to the dance.  Actually, at the dances at my college, half the girls end up taking their shoes off completely within the first hour.

I agree with the two above me. Wear flats...also, when you slow dance your head doesn't HAVE to be on his shoulder!! Just keep your head up!! HeHe!! Just look into each other's eyes. He shouldn't have to look up that much if he's only two inches shorter. Enjoy it, and tell your friends what a great time you had because your date was NICE!! Have fun!!

dont worry! I have the same problem, im like taller than most of the guys i know! Just wear flat shoes and maybe stick to the faster songs. But honestly hun, he asked you to the dance, meaning he must realise that he's shorter than you and doesnt care cause he really likes you so just chill out and go with the flow. :)

Wear shorter heels, and have a great time! Nobody's going to be looking or making fun. At least you have a date!
