Going to gym at 14..not for work out but for..?

well..i m planin to go to gym..i m 14 and half..my ht is not much..i m 5"2..i heard many ppl sayin that..goin to gym can help u develop ur personality..unless u work out!!...can gym help me..increasin my height..and ya..i know working out can result in stop of increasing height..and know..m not goin to develop my muscles!

  1. Gym will not affect your height. Nothing will make you grow more, but make sure you eat a good balanced diet.

    Gym can only develop muscles and help you to lose weight.

    What do you mean by this? You will begin to develop muscles in puberty. I'm not sure about the working out = hurt height development, but it's not unhealthy. You want to be fit. (don't over-do it)

    Personally I think the "working out = hurt height development" is bull. At this age most everyone tries working out now, and I don't see any difference from people who don't.

  3. If it's about height I would recommend basket ball, volleyball or swimming. Anything that makes you stretch your body.
