  1. Try La Tasca's website, if you sign up for their newsletter they'll give u a £5 voucher & u can see the menu on there, not v expensive. Failing that, Pizza Express is quite nice and u can usually get a deal from lastminute.com

    Enjoy ur night!

  2. Wahaca.  Covent Garden.  Amazing food, and cheap.  Try the mixed platter for 2 to share.  It's less than 20 pounds and is amazing.  But don't go at peak times because you'll wait about 2 hours for a table.  Turn up at 5pm, though, and you'll walk straight in.

  3. Depending on the time of year, and your budget, try Inn the Park. St James Park, view of the ponds, doesn't feel like London at all (may not be what you want of course) and the food and service were great.....

  4. london and a cheap meal don't go hand in hand and i found half the pleasure was wandering the streets looking

  5. You'll be near Soho and Covent Garden so you're spoilt for choice really. It depends what sort of cuisine you'd prefer.

For Thai food in a beautiful little restaurant lit by candles with a temple structure in the centre, try Patara on Greek Street:

On Charlotte Street, Passione does good Italian and Fino is great for tapas:

Another excellent Italian is Stef's on Berners Street:

For Japanese, there's Matsuri in Holborn and Umu in W1.

It's worth doing a search on toptable just search for 'West End' and use googlemaps to work out how far the restaurants are from your hotel and the theatre. There are lots of special offers on, so you can afford to eat in some great places.

  6. I would visit the Mosquito Bar afterwards to chug it all down with a nice beer, matey!
