I know i need to get clothes, etc, but like how much money should I bring if i am staying at an all inclusive resort? Also, My hotel is in Playa Del Carmon which is like 1 hour from cancun airport so how do i get to the hotel? Do they have a hotel shuttle or do you have to take a cab? How much is a taxi do u think? 1. You won't need money while at the resort. Any excursions you want to do you can use credit cards. It helps to have some $1's for tips if you find someone doing a really great job. I would suggest finding a shuttle for airport to Playa. It is a really long cab ride-1 hour. You can "google" shuttles in Cancun.

Take : nice clothes for the dinners, sundresses, slacks and buttons down for a couple of evenings.

Lots of sunscreen, eye drops (salt water and pool water), a couple of bathing suits.

    Have fun.

  2. Just got back from 2 weeks in Cancun. Ur gonna love it.

OK, here we go...if it's all inclusive the only money u'll need is for 1) souvenirs(?), go to Mercado 28 and bargain. 2) going out to Cancun at night, Playa del Carmen resorts usually have free transport to town but food, drinks and everything else is EXPENSIVE! 3) any tours like Xcaret, swim with dolphins, Chichen-Itza. Go to entertainment-plus.net. U can live chat with Trina or Brant. they r the best!! Very knowledgeable and helpful.

As to the airport u can catch a shuttle for a few dollars (to the hotel zone it's $6) or e-plus can set u up with airport transfers.

Taxis r expensive except downtown (anywhere in the downtown area is $2) the bus is the cheapest way to get around in Cancun proper, about $1.50 to go anywhere.

I don't know the name of ur resort. I stayed at the Paradisus 4 yrs ago. They have 5 restaurants, 2 pools, 3 bars, a movie theatre, live shows, and the beach.

I was in the lobby bar one night and ran out of cigarettes. I told my friends I needed to go back to my room for them. B4 I could get up a waiter was there with cigarettes and matches. Now that's all-inclusive!!

    Have a great time!!

  3. Firstly, this depends where you are coming from !!!

If you're flying in from an an area outside of North America, the first thing you'll need is an Adaptor for the electric, as it's the same here as the USA.

Next, Anti Frizz shampoo & conditioner or you could have a few bad hair days.

Sun tan lotion, sunglasses, a hat, and the rest of your clothes depending on what you're going to do. Try to decide on what tours & activities you're going to do before you arrive, and pack accordingly.... you wouldn't want to go for a day at Chichen Itza in just a bikini !!

Transport from the Airport to Playa del Carmen... Taxis tend to be pretty expensive, around $40.00 USD so the best way would be on the ADO Shuttle Bus, which costs less than $5 USD.

www.ticketbus.com.mx best to book before you arrive if you can, although there is a booking office in the airport terminal.

Also try asking the Hotel if they have transport arranged from the airport, as many places have a van to collect guests.

The night life in Playa is pretty good, but all the major Clubs are in Cancun, about 40 minutes away. Open Bar entry will cost around $40.00 USD per club, but many places have specials for girls, with No Cover. To avoid standing in long lines, it's always best to decide where you are going before you get there, and purchase an Express pass.

watch out for the Sharks selling bands outside the clubs, who promise you that their Band is Express Pass, VIP status, and Isn't.

A Good night out, is the Party Hopper and they have several pick up points in Playa del Carmen, Check this with the agent in the hotel, they should know about it. It's generally about $80 USD including the transport, or $65.00 USD in Cancun pay as you enter into Congo Bar.

Everywhere in Cancun & Playa del Carmen accepts USD so don't think that it's a necessity to change money into Pesos. ou can use USD and if they need to give you change, you'll receive it in Pesos. Current exchange rate is approx 10.5 pesos to the USD.

If you are bringing a bank card to use an ATM then inform your bank that you'll be in Mexico, or you could have problems using the Card.

try contacting www.StudentCity.com and see what advise they have also.

    Have Fun.
