  1. Moon Palace is the kind of place that is casual. You will find some people dressing up at night (no jackets) but it's smart resort casual. I didn't see shorts at night for guys or gals, kayaks for guys and collared shirts, sun dresses, skirts and capris for gals. Fancy sandals for the girls, boat type shoes for the guys (no socks)

During the day swimsuits and more swimsuits. Every type in your wild imagination. The european men wear those speedo type suits. Coverups for the gals.

Bring sunscreen with spf 30 and higher. The sun is very hot and you will burn even on a cloudy day with no sunscreen. Reapply often. Wear sunscreen all the time during the day.

You will get some showers in July but being the tropics it will pass quickly. We had showers at night.

They have an awesome pool. The best pool I have been in. The lounge chairs excellent. I found by tipping the bartenders a few dollars, we got better/quicker service.

The rooms are very nice with a frig filled with beers and water. A liquor dispenser hanging on the wall.

The food was very good and I would say they are one of the better resorts in Cancun.

    Have fun and enjoy)

  2. I went there in April and it was soooooooo HOT so take shorts,Cami's,sunglasses, AND SUNSCREEN!!! it is going to be very hot there like 95 to 100 degrees!!!! so pack summer clothes and bring lots of sunscreen!!! and Moon Palace is a AWESOME hotel my friend stayed there!!!!!!♥

  3. It will be high 90s and even into the 100s...when we went (just got back May 19th) humidity was 46%.  Its ok if you are going to be around the pool or ocean...cause the ocean will be warmed up....it was still cool when we went.  This seems like the best time to get a rich tan because the sun is closest to the equator in July.  Hot!!! and Humid!!! So don't plan on excursions that aren't around the water.  Swimsuit with a nice cover is the way to go.  Dress down for the afternoon and up nice but not too overboard for the evening.  Really you don't have to bring that much...glasses, sun lotion, sun hat, swimsuit, sandals...no joke...its really laid back.  In the evening...people wear simple beach dresses, or capris and a halter top with accessories.  I saw a lot of thick high heeled sandals...wierd but must be in style.

***oh sorry...for the guys...they wore long sleeved dress shirts (white or neutral) in the evening...during the day it was swim gear. Guys were all about showing the body with just the trunks and no shirts...he he.   At our resort there wasn't any sleeveless guys during the evening.   The dress is more like rugged jeans and an oversized light long sleeved for the evening.

    Have a great time!!!
