  1. Be prepared to see a lot of Blue Black Faeries.  If you are playing Blue/Black Faeries, you should know how to stop it.


  2. Test, test, and test your deck against the current meta-game popular decks.  Tweak your deck until you feel really comfortable with the match-ups and make sure you have an adequate sideboard.  There's no substitute to never-ending testing, and if you can beat the deck consistently that you think you'll see most often, you are off to a good start.  Finally, never be uncomfortable about calling over a DCI judge to ensure rules interpretation.  Don't feel pressured by your opponent to not call them if you aren't sure about a ruling.

    Lastly, have fun!  That's the most important thing!
