Going to my high school reunion in October in So Cal ~ what would be "dressy casual" for a woman?

I am a stay at home Mom in Arizona ~ and my reunion is in Southern California in October. It's been a long time since I've been in So Cal in October so I don't even know what the weather is like that time of year there. I figure planning my outfit now gives me plenty of time to look just right on the night of the reunion! Please help!!! Thank you in advance! :~)

Well since it will be warm/cool in southern cali, I would definitly go for a sweater dress. So you can dress for the season, but you still won't be sweating lol!

I'm a stay at home Mum in England chick and have no idea what your weather is like where you are or where you're going but if it's any help smart casual here would be maybe really smart jeans (denims) and a dressy top (with a bolero or waist cardigan or jacket if it may be chilly) or a pair of tailored trousers and a pretty top.

Hope that helps a little. Hard isn't it when you've been a little out of touch for a few years. Good luck and just enjoy yourself that's what mainly matters.

it means to be a little dressy, but not over the top.

like prom dresses or big dresses or whatever haha.

so like a dressy top and a skirt with flats is being dressy, but

then again its casual. just dress as if your not going to a wedding.

haha :)

but makeup and hair can be very key in this process,

as your going to a reunion and you want to show everybody

how gorgeous you became. :D

I would interpret "dressy" to mean heels or high heeled sandals or boots and "casual" to mean either great jeans or trousers and a nice, probably vee neck top rather than a dress.  And sharp jewelry.  I would think that you have a lot from your Arizona wardrobe in this category but I would suggest focusing on the shoes!!!
