  1. you can have a salad. as some one said before, that CAN be fattening, but thats only if you get a fatty dressing. they use some kind of beef juice at mcdonalds to make the fries, so they arent vegetarian.  i am not sure about the apple pies, but if you are in the mood for something sweet, i would just get a soft drink with your salad instead because its less fattening. hope this helps!!!

  2. Read the nutrition at the McD website.  I don't know if those items are suitable.

  3. You could have a garden salad with lemon or italian dressing,  order of fries .  Apple not sure it might have lard in crust.  Have fun!

  4. NEVER go to McDonald's.  Nothing is vegan there.  They cross contaminate everything.  They use beef fat, beef seasoning and fry their chicken nuggets, filet-o-fish, and fries in all the same beef fat oil.

They are the enemy.  They teach people that they can eat meat for cheap 3 times a day.  They are evil and wrong.

    NEVER eat there.

  5. I'm in your boat but I have to recommend not eating any of the food.  The apple pies and fries are terrible for you and the salads have more fat and calories than the burgers (believe it or not).  I would recommend just getting something to drink and eating later or earlier.

  6. consider one of the salads, better for you.

  7. ehhh...the apple pies might contain gelatin, and the fries are cooked in the same oil as meat..

i would go with a salad( they have really good salads, just order them "without the meat or cheeese" )...or just eat before you leave the house :)

next time you go out, ask if you can stop at subway instead...veggie delite on wheat :) yummmy

  8. No, vegetarians cannot eat the french fries because they are made with beef fat. I'm not sure about apple pies. Look here at the McD menu for the ingredients.

When i was a vegetarian i would always order the fruit and yogurt parfe, if it helps =)

    Good luck!

  9. Be careful. I don't know how MacDo's handles frying. They might fry their fish, chicken, fries, and pies all in the same oil. If that's a problem for you, stick to a salad. Yeah, they're not all that great for you (they probably have more eggs and cheese than produce), but at least it's something to nosh on.

  10. If you live in the US the fries have beef tallow.  Even the fruit and yogurt parfaits have animal derived gelatin in them.

You could have any sandwich (hold the meat), apple dippers, pies, cookies, ice cream and any salad without the meat.  Be mindful of the dressings though because a lot of them have fish ingredients.

I would seriously try to stay away from McDonald's though if you are a vegetarian for ethical reasons.  Going there is supporting the meat industry for sure.  They also don't pay their employees enough money to work as hard as they do...Not to mention that the cleanliness of places like that are quite questionable at times.

Personally if it were me I would take my own food.  I am so not worried about looking cool.  My friends know I am vegan and they wouldn't invite me to McDonald's.  I would take something small to eat none of the staff with care...trust me.  Then you can order a bottle of water and some cookies if you consume dairy and eggs.
