Going to ottawa need info?

Question

I need to know what is the best way to bus it from the Ottawa airport to northern Ontario.Going to Cochrane even Timmins would be ok.I have been on this computer for hours.I am not very good on the computer so I need some help or advice.It is a very important SURPRISE visit so I need to figure this out myself.I am booking my flight on line with West Jet and would like to connect to bus as soon as possible.I don't have much money to rent a hotel room.Please I need help from someone soon.I can get a good seat sale if I book very soon.There is no travel agent in the tiny town I live in.Thanks for any help!!

When you fly into Ottawa, you'll then have to take a bus or taxi to the Ottawa Bus Central Station located on Catherine Street in downtown Ottawa.  And it is a bit of a boot from the Airport to the Bus Station.  Here is a link with a trip planner, and phone numbers to get info.

You need to get from the airport to the bus station. The Airport is in the south. The bus station is on Catherine.

Looking at a OC Transpo map it seems that route 97 takes you from the airport to near the bus station. Looks like you'd want to get off at Lees and then take a different bus either 101 or 102 to the bus station. Technically from Lees you could walk it as it would be about 20-25 minutes. The other option is to take the YOW shuttle. A one way trip is $14. http://www.yowshuttle.com/index.htm. It drops you off at a bunch of downtown hotels. The one you want to get off on is the Best Western Victoria Park Suits. If you look at the map it is number 15. You'll see the bus station on the map as well. It is about 3 blocks away.

You can also take a taxi. I live downtown and a taxi to the airport is usually about $25.

I think you should consult with an on-line Travel Agent.

Ottawa's a fair piece from Timmins and Cochrane, and I'm

wondering if there's not a better connection for you.

Getting you closer by plane, Instead of taking 1 plane, and one long bus drive.
