Going to paris soon...what are "must sees"?

I'll be there for a week. What are things I "must see" other than the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre? What is close that is worth taking a day trip?

Walk the curving little streets of the Latin Quarter for sure.

notre dame, boat ride on the seine, place de concord for a stroll, le arc de full retreat...sorry meant arc de triomphe,  Champs-Elysées, Musée d'Orsay, the real moulin rouge, that graveyard where edith piaf, jim morrison and others are buried, Versailles, and remember if not sure what you are eating, can always go to a grocery store and get your own food, an orange is an orange no matter where you at, and if you have time visit the various ww1 and ww2 memorials

Day trip -- either Mont St. Michel (an ancient walled city that is an island when the tide comes in), Versailles (the palace), or the Hastings Embroidery (dates from 1066).

The D-Day Normandy beaches are really cool if you are renting a car, and they are on the way to Mont St. Michel (sort of). If it's not rainy, Versailles is a full day, very historic and very lovely.

In Paris:

The catacombs (full of skeletons) are really neat and kind of spooky. Napoleon's Tomb is overwhelming. The Dali Museum in Montmartre is fantastic, and so is the Jeu de Paum Museum (modern art) and the Degas Museum. You can take a boat ride down the Seine if you want something different.

Sorry. I didn't mean to write this much, but I really love Paris.

If I were you, I'd take time to go to the Notre Dame Cathedral. The statues, the candles, the huge pipe organ that plays music, the treasury (it's like a museum), the view from the top when you climb it...you really should go there!

Do NOT go to the Eiffel Tower. You'll spend two to three hours waiting in line for a lousy view. Believe me.
