  1. There you get better rates

  2. For the amount of money you are exchanging, I doubt there's much difference where you change it. You may get a better rate in Portugal as some say, but for £500 you might be €5 - €8 better off. It's not worth the energy looking. Go to someone like Marks & Spencers in the UK and you will get a good rate. The same will apply from which ever country you are travelling from.

  3. Hi, When i was in Portugal there were exchanges for money everywhere and the rates were very good.  I only ever exchange my travellers cheques/money in the resort as you can get good exchange rates and no commission. Have a great holiday.

  4. If you have a Nationwide bank account withdraw them from the hole in t wall when you get there. It's free and you get good exchange rates.

  5. i was conberter the money dont matter with money u have usa peso no matter with one euro is to low and believe me cause im from portugal ... good luck

  6. If you're in the UK or USA, you'd probably want to change your money after you arrive.  All major airports have currency exchange kiosks and the rate will probably be better there.  If you're from Canada, Australia, New Zealand or somewhere else, you'll probably want to make the exchange before you leave since the more obscure the currency, the harder it'll be to exchange there.
