  1. Hola!  I'm in Cabo but our weather is a little drier than PV but overall the same as PV.  This year we have experienced some really strange weather.  The ocean is colder than normal and things just seem weird.  They are blaming "la nina" a weather phenom we experience every 10 years or so.  If indeed we are experiencing la nina, then we probably won't have as many storms this year. Or less significant ones at least.  La nina tends to make south america stormy, not us.  But having said that, they are saying that the la nina is weakening, which means our ocean is warming up, and therefore we could be in for more storms.

Its a c**p shoot.  So just go and enjoy your holiday and don't worry about it.  If it rains an hour or so, it soon drys up and becomes sunny and hot again.  No big deal.

    Enjoy your holiday!

  2. Yes, you can. The rainy season starts around the end of May- beginning of June and lasts until September. Although June isn't the month that has the highest precipitation (that month is September), there will more than likely be at least a few days of rain while you're there.

It rained a bit while I was there, and it is actually a nice rain. A lot of people from the U.K. travel to Mexico during this time and find it to be a good travel time and don't mind the rains (our tour guide told us this, as well as a British man who lives there from May-Oct).

Here is a site that has the amount of days of rain as well as average amounts:

It's so dry there right now and the Sierra Madre is looking kind of rough at the foot of the mountain so the rain will be appreciated. Have a blast!!!

**Even though it will be raining, remember that it is really hot there right now. Don't let the rains and clouds fool you, the sun is intense. We burnt every day. Make sure you're still slapping on that sunscreen ;) The average high temperature in Puerto Vallarta in June is between 29-32 degrees Celsius and the low is 19-22 degrees Cesius so it's still very very nice. Don't be deterred :)

  3. it isn't the weather you have to worry about its the people there....

  4. yeah , it can get messy

it is rain season all through mid September.
