Question:

Going to retexture my interior walls before painting; what are the steps?

Certain parts of my interior walls are unbalanced in the texturing so the plan is to apply orange peel and repaint using matching paint. Sounds simple enough but I want to make sure I do this right especially after some of the previously painted parts look uneven in certain lighted conditions at certain angles.

My question is what are the steps I need to do? Do I first lightly sand the walls, apply primer, apply texture, then paint? Or sand walls, texture, primer and then paint? I don"t want to mess this up folks so any help is greatly appreciated.
