Though I am a proud public school student, there is nothing wrong- and many things right- with homeschooling. Homeschoolers are not socially isolated: they participate in church groups, musical groups, community sports, service projects, and a host of other activities. Most homeschoolers I know are far better off socially that public school kids because their interaction is not limited to a certain age group. They know how to converse with people of all ages and have a wider variety of friends.

Parents can give their child just as good- if not better- an education at home than a public school does. Parents who take the time to homeschool are well equipped and educated.

One could argue that homeschoolers live in the "real world" far earlier than traditionally schooled people.

From experience and knowledge going to school is a far better option than staying at home.  Home tuition is very flawed unless you are teaching the curriculum to a high standard.  There are flaws in the Education Act in terms of teaching at home which does not benefit the person you are teaching.  Not only is home tuition quite difficult it can also leave the young person isolated, socially inept, lacking in knowledge of the real world we live in but also it can have a detrimental effect on the person as an adult in the future.  Think long and hard and look at all aspects of the young persons life before considering home tuition.  

Education is one of the most important aspects of our lives.  It forms the basis of a successful adult life.  A successful life can lead to a happy life rewarded with riches such as good friends, a good job, achieving personal goals ...............

We do both - school *is* at home (and at the library, the park, the store, co op, the museum, the zoo, the aquarium...)

going to school. friends, teachers, makes you socially active, and moreover, it is all so fun. you'll never regret going to school.
