  1. im in middle school track too. im doin hurdles and all my coah really tells me is too stretch alot and get some good shoes lol. and just practice in any random time you have. its sounds like c**p but the more you do it the more you get used to it and itll easier. thts all i do and ive gotten 18 sec. better than my 20 sec in the beginning of it all.

btw, some school had some cheap rubber for their track and it got majorly hott it melted. sooo i guess theyre not havin any home games. =]

  2. thats good your going to sectionals (: im actually a jumper (high and long) but i see the hurdlers stretch and practice like everyday. first, you can do stretches like holding on to the fence and swinging your legs.it sounds weird but they do that. and the toe reach. also, you can sprint faster by pushing all your momentum. pump your arms and you'll do great. good luck(:

  3. Talk to your coaches, they'll be able to show you the best stretches.

17 seconds is pretty good time for middle school, in the hurdles.

Try to stretch your calves and hamstrings a good bit, to the point where you could do the splits without hurting yourself. But don't stretch too much, or you'll use up all of your energy.

Basically talk to the coaches or trainers, they'll be the ones to help you out the most.
