  1. The French House restaurant is my favourite in that part of town - more intimate, romantic and cheaper than either the Ivy of Caprice and they will seat you up to half ten.  Food and service are first class although be warned that they do sometimes run out of dishes late at night because everything is bought and made fresh - a sign of a good restaurant in my book.

  2. Just around the corner, in Piccadilly, is a huge Waterstones Bookshop.  On the top floor of this is a great cafe bar, with beautiful views.  It closes at 10, so no good for after the show, but it would be great for before-theatre drinks.

Try La Caprice just beside the Ritz or The Wolseley book need to book.

  4. Papa Genos off Leicester Square is a theatre-themed eatery and is well priced

  5. oh my god if you are taking him there .find a place that is called blue oyster wear lots of leather

  6. go to this link for this great indian restaurant:

  8. Great show!

Eating round there is easy so much choice of good food. Been to that theatre a number of times and these are some of the good places I've been to:

Maggiores on King Street. I once got taken here for a romantic meal and it is beautiful. Quiet and subtle romance - http://www.london-eating.co.uk/3226.htm

    (probably need to book)

Sarastro on Drury Lane. Meaning 'the show after the show' - it's a real extravagant affair. Very opulent, the restaurant is much like a theatre itself with balcony tables up high, tables secluded with drapes like a theatre box down below. See the pictures for yourself - http://www.sarastro-restaurant.com/index...

You'd also need to book for a good table. This place has great atmosphere.

Bistro 1 on Southampton Street. Slightly more budget option but great value and good food. You can get two or three courses for under a tenner (ex drinks). Can get busy but would probably be quieter post-theatre than before it.

  9. I work just around the corner in Piccadilly Circus and if you walk just 4-5 minutes from the Piccadilly theatre to Frith Street you will find lots of gorgeous Italian restaurants, good value, romantic, open late (so no rush when your eating at 10.30 in the evening) my favourite is Bertorelli, Frith Street, Soho.

Bertorelli's mixes contemporary with traditional Italian cooking. It's good value at about £20 for 3 courses, great service and not full of tourists!! I often take my boyfriend there after the theatre and it never fails to impress. You wiull also find some intereting bars along Frith st, such as  Garlic & Shots! And if you like like Jazz music try Ronnie Scotts, also along Frith St, it's a perfect way to end an evening.

    Have a great night!

  10. There are loads of nice places to eat in the Piccadilly area.  You will have no problem finding somewhere to eat.  My advice is to wait and see what you fancy on the night and go for a walk and find somewhere that takes your eye.

  11. Try this,

    Le Caprice.

Arlington House, Arlington Street, SW1A 1RJ

    Tel 020 7629 2239

It's owned by the same guy that has the Ivy but here you do get the chance of a reservation without giving 6 months notice

  12. I've heard the Rainforest Cafe is fantastic.  Shaftesbury Avenue - round the corner from Picadilly Circus.  Haven't tried it myself but apparently it has jungle plants all over inside including some birdies flying around.

  13. he would probably love to eat at The Y after the pickandilly
