I have been TTC for over a year now. My period comes and then stops whenever. I went 5 months w/out one! I had hpg done, everything looks good. I am wondering what they will recommend first? Anyone have any suggestions? My last period was 8/4, my cycle has been between 28-36 day's. I also bought a ovulation kit this month, when should I start checking? I am so frustrated lately, we want to conceive more than anything!!!

  1. My first appointment involved going over all the information available so far on my fertility (in your case your HSG, typical cycle length, etc).  Has your husband had any seman analysis done?  That will probably be one thing they want to do if it hasn't been done already.  At my first appt they also did an ultrasound but if you've already had them I don't know if they'll do another.  It depends on the doc and your situation but it sounds like a case they might use Clomid with.

My husband came with me to the appt but since his test needed to be taken straight to the lab he didn't have to do anything at the 1st appt.  He liked being there to hear about our options and stuff though, I think it made him feel more involved in the process....

    Good luck!

  2. The first appointment will very likely just be to talk to you about what is going on and decide what to do. If you haven't had an ultrasound they will probably schedule you for one of those and may do some bloodwork. They may also schedule you for some other tests but that will all depend on the dr.
