Going to six flags next week...terribly afraid of rollercoasters..help?

give me all the info on rollercoasters, i never did an EXTREME thriller before and i'd like to give them a try...were you afraid at one point? what did you do? do you like them now? are drop scary? ANY INFORMATION WILL HELPPP!!! thanks a lot :]

I used to absolutely hate them, and I was terrified of them.

But on a trip with some of my friends I just told myself "It's supposed to be scary, that's what it's there for. And it's safe, otherwise it wouldnt be open. So why not?"

I do like rollercoasters now.

I am going there this weekend! I am exactly like you, never been on an extreme one. Take 3 or 4 of your closest friends to make you go on with them, I'm sure you'll end up loving it. It will be better with friends also. That is what I am doing, just scream and put your hands up; brave your fear! Best of Luck, !

you spend the whole time laughing about how geeky you are you wont even think about the coaster youll just have fun

Start with the most scariest to get it over with, then everything is downhill from there (literally). If you do the big scary ones first, you tell yourself you can ride all the others. Dont chew gum, I scream and it always flies out and is only a matter of time before it gets in my hair. I used to be afraid, I love them now,. They are the only rides I want to ride, be brave, all the boys are watching! ;)
