It seems this been going on for months since May. This month is got worse. My four year old son has eczema which was on his legs. But it got over his tummy and back and he itching like crazy. I put special cream on it and lotion all kinds everyday. Twice or three times a day but that didn't work. I even did it right after he got bath lotion was on. We seen his allergy doctor this past July 1. No new allergy and his allergy he had went away. Which he out grow. I am taking him to his doctor today. What should I ask. I don't know want causing this. I haven't started anything new or anything. Should I go ahead and stop him on milk and see if that would be the cause. He couldn't handle milk when he was baby till age 3. At the age 3 he was able to handle drinking milk. But I would think the problem would come back after starting milk back up. He drink milk for a year now without any problems. I thinking of some questions to ask and ask them how can I get rid of it. I know he itching when he sleeping has well and I think it waking him up.

  1. I had massive problems with getting my 3 month old son to sleep.  He would just lie awake and cry for hours, then when he finally went to sleep he would wake every hour or two hours through the night and cry again!  Talk about pulling our hair out .... we were absolutely desperate for sleep!

It was a baby sleep audio program recommended by a friend that finally saved us. We followed the advice and began by creating a baby sleep routine which included bathtime, dimming of the lights, putting Paul into his crib, final nappy change and then lullabies. We also made recommended changes to his naps during the day and used some of the other recommended techniques. Within two weeks he was sleeping through the night most nights with just the odd night where he would just wake once!

Definitely start by creating a good baby sleep routine though and you could find that solves most of your baby sleep problems.

    Good luck!

  2. your son can have KP. It is a skin condition that is very similar to eczema. It happens in kids with allergies and asthma. If the skin is dry it will flare up. Some kids don't shed there skin and this rash appears you need to exfoliate before putting on the lotion. My son had this rash since he was 2. Took a long time for doctors to know what it was. The thing that helped the most is using ALL FREE AND CLEAR laundry detergent and NON SCENTED dryer sheets.

  3. Are you using unscented and dye free detergent?  It sounds like you probably are- but I just thought I'd throw that in.  My daughter cannot have anything washed that is scented or dyed. Or lotions either for that matter.  We use Eucerin. Wouldn't the allergy doctor have tested for food allergies?  Maybe you can call and ask- if he did not I would be upset since that is really common nowadays.  But, I think your idea of trying to eliminate a food is a good start.

  4. ask your doctor what is wrong with your son. don't get answers from random strangers on yahoo. we're a bunch of bored amateurs.
