Going to the Imax tonight in London - can anyone recommend any good restaurants nearby?

If you feel like a bit of a walk, Bodeans in Soho is a great American Grill place - fantastic food!

Otherwise there's an All Bar One just behind the London Eye which does great food and drinks in a really nice wine bar.

Walk along the South Bank towards Gabriel's Wharf - there are various restaurants there including a Pizza Express. The one I like is towards the back (sorry, can't remember what it's called) but it's like a wooden shack - really cosy feel.  One side is a restaurant and the other side is a pub where you can order snack food.  If you don't want to walk that far down, there is a Wagamama and a Giraffe just by the National Theatre.

I don't know about you, but I quite like  the first to?

Best Chinese Take-away- Golden Chopsticks, Tooley st. Excellent food, friendly service, prompt deliveries.

Best Indian restaurant- the one under the railway bridge at the top of borough high street, just before it leads onto London bridge

Best Fish and Chip shop- the one half way down Waterloo Road, past the old Vic, as you are going towards St George's Circus although the battered sausage and chips from the one half way

down New Kent Road (near the pub) are pretty good- mind you, I've only ever eaten there when I have been truly caned.

All-round Favourite restaurant- the Vietnamese one opposite Lower Marsh on Westminster Bridge Road.

Ozu (http://www.toptable.co.uk/details.cfm/qs... is right in County Hall and has great views... plus it's right near where you're going.  It's Japanese -- give it a try!
