Going to the beach sometime in the next 6 months, what weekend would be best?

We'll be staying on a Thur-Sun. I want to avoid holidays and bad weather. I've never been to the beach (Myrtle) and I'm having difficulty planning our trip, especially since I can't decide on time. Help?
