I got some pit passes for the race in chicagoland speedway for the nascar race. I've been to joliet before but never in the pits. They say we can hang out in the pit area for the race, but would it be better to get a seat for the race rather than mull around the whole time? I dont know wether to buy a seat or just hang out.

  1. one bad thing about Joliet if you want seats to this weekends race you also must purchase tickets to the Indy weekend in Sept.

they only sell pit passes to the ones thta has bought the seasons pass to the races.

and if you go one thursday you can stay in the pits all day.

  2. I would buy a seat.  Just hanging out in the pits could get boring. Once the race starts, you will not be able to see anything related to the racing up close in the pits.

  3. get a seat. only thing you will see in the pits once the race starts is when the cars pit which isn't much during a race.

  4. Having viewed races from both the pits and the stands I'll take the stands.Better overall view of the track and action.
