Going to travel to europe, where are all the good (german) pubs at??

Question

My boyfriend & i will be backpacking through europe in jan-feb. he's not a beer drinker, but i sure am & we will be in germany so i'd like to find some good pubs!!

inexpensive would be nice, were on a budget. also, local ambience would be great. it shows the pub is friendly & not a scam, like tourist traps.

Lovely german pub in the isle of wight sandown .I used to drink there the beer was magic and the music good it was called the bier Keller and it sold loadsa beer
