I am 25 and have 2 kids and a partner, I am enrolling in part-time open foundation for next year, to then study Bachelor of Nursing, and to eventually become a midwife. I have always wanted to do this, but I am doubting weather I can actually commit to this and succeed. Has anyone else felt this way before about going to uni?

  1. you can do anything, book the kids in to day care when you get your time table.  study anytime that you can sit down and "do home work " take them to lolly pops or an indoor play land (great study time) kids are loving it.  study in the waiting room during (dancing, swimming, football etc)

Don't get me wrong it is hard however what do you get at the end - a great job that allows you the flexibility to work.  If your kids are young they won't even remember you studding.

DONT DOUBT YOUR SELF GET INTO IT.

Good luck :) work hard :)

  2. Hey, Yes of course u can do it,  especially cause u have always wanted to do it

And i knw u love ur kids and partner alot, but u should not let them get in your way of doing what u have always wanted to do it,

I knw you will be successful, because u have two kids and a partner and u are still motivated to go out and study,

So good luck and all the best

  3. It can be done, I've seen people do it. Keep regular contact with a course counsellor, and with other mature students in the college. They can be a great support.

  4. h**l YEA YOU CAN...my cousin is doing it right now...but she studies from home cause she cant find anyone to look after her kids. its hard...but nothing in life is easy...if its easy then its not worth having right...u gotta struggle for wat u want...ull be proud in the end wen you see our family at your gradution..its all worth it..u just really have to want it

  5. Yes, you can do this, as long as you have the right support around you then you can. I am going back to uni too, working full time and with a casual job at a hotel, if I can do it, so can you!! All the best. Good luck...

  6. i cant see why you cant do it....just dont let anything stop you

  7. yes you go girl good luck Sandy

  8. Learning at any age and situation - no problem. Being a mother of two kids, you have to do little extra work to manage your house, but seeing you studying, your children will also have enthusiasm for studies and they will share in your house hold work, if they are of the age.

  9. yeh, i should do it if u feel like it becoz we have only once life if u waste it u won't have anymore chance. however, it involved a lot of time management and organisation skills. hope u succedd. u will succedd. good luck

  10. well just having 2 kids doesnt mean you cant go to uni.but before that you have to plan about all the contigencies.where u are going to leave the kids.if ur partner agrees in your going to uni he has to share baby sitting of kids.you both have to look out that one of u should stay with kids.To achieve your goal you have to take pain.Good results never come easily.so plan before hand and go for it .best of luck.

  11. This is a reality that could give your children a good future and  this is your dream as well.  Go girl grab the opportunity.  Everyone should be proud of you because you really wants to achieve goals in life though at 25 and with 2 children. Wow!  Being a mother, student,  in life is a lot of struggle. Good luck!

  12. Of course you can do it.... It'll be hard @ first but once you get into the groove of things it'll be heaps easier... It will a gr8 chance for you to meet new ppl and learn new things, get out there and go for it...

    Good luck!
