I'm trying to find a camera to buy before I go and obviously I don't want the camera to run out of power before the trip is over! Also if a camera uses Rechargeable Lithium Battery NB-4L will normal AA or Lithium AA batteries work in the camera as well? Camera suggestions would also be great though I can't really spend more than £100 but if it's near this price I may be able to find a decent deal on the net or ebay.

  1. The answer would be NO!!. Don't count on it lasting that long.

Battery consumption depends on so many things. How much you use the LCD screen, (big battery eater), how many pictures you take, flash?.

Look for a camera that has a viewfinder and an LCD screen. Then you can turn of the LCD screen and save batteries.

But no matter what take extra batteries. I never go anywhere without them.

  2. Take your battery charger with you and don't lose it.

Li-ion batteries are the state of the art batteries and last much longer than any AA battery.

And don't waste your money on a generic battery ... in the end they fail and some have even caused fires when charging.
