  1. 1.  Yes.  How devout you are is up to you.  Some canned meals have a trivial amount of animal fat.  There are a few products like Gelatin and Rennet that aren't "meat" but are made from dead animal parts.  It's up to you if you want to worry about this or not.  Some vegetarians even eat fish (The ones on this website will scorn you for it though)

    2.  Check out vegetariantimes.com, and cookinglight.com has a lot of good vegetarian recipes too.  Or there are plenty of veggie cookbooks.

    3.  It takes some getting used to.  Making a gradual transition might be easier than going cold turkey.  Also make sure you are eating a variety of foods and getting your vitamins & minerals because it is easier not to if you are vegetarian.

  2. Good job for not caving! I just recently became a vegetarian about a week ago, so I know where you are coming from!

Yeah, you can eat anything, but meat. There are two types of vegetarians, ones who don't eat any meat, but will eat dairy products and eggs. Those are called lacto-ovo vegetarians. That's the kind I am, but I don't eat eggs.

Then you can be a vegan, which is someone who doesn't eat anything that comes from an animals. That means no cheese, dairy, or anything with any traces of dairy in it!

I would start of as a lacto-ovo vegetarian, and when you think you are ready for that big commitment as being a vegan, you can go right ahead!

I found this really, really good website with a bunch of vegetarian and vegan recipes on it: http://www.vegcooking.com/

Oh, and I love this recipe: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/...

But intead of using lettuce, I used avacado. It was really good!

Now here are some tips for going vegetarian:

    1. Don't be afraid to try any new veggie or fruit!

    2. If you are a lacto-ovo vegetarian, you won't need to worry too much about protein, because you can drink milk. If you are a vegan, you'll need to eat beans, tofu, and assorted nuts.

    3. You won't need to worry a lot about going out to eat. Most restraunts carry vegetarian options on their menus now.

And that's it! Good luck, and good job for going vegetarian!!

  3. Great dessision!

Once,I tried to be vegetarian, but my mom says that it`s stupid, and that everything is with meat, and I had to stop. But don`t give up.I`ll try too(again)!
