Goji juice question!?

Ive just started drinking Goji juice which is a juice made from natural goji berries. My moms friend has been drinking it for quite some time now because she used to suffer from anxiety and now she says she doesen't have it anymore. I too suffer from anxiety and want to get rid of it so i started to drink this natural supplement, im only 17 and so far i feel alittle calmer throughout the day. Has anyone drinking goji juice b/c you have suffered from anxiety? and if so has it worked to help you?

  1. I used to drink it as  tonic each day years ago. I did feel a difference. I had more energy and I was more focused. I stopped taking it 2 years ago as I found other  herbs for my specific needs. Goji Berries are from the Lycium chinensis plant. They are in the herbal group called adaptogens. Adaptogens help your body adapt to the many stressful stuff we have in our lives. Different herbs work different ways. Goji Berries are  an immune tonic, and a nutritive tonic for kidney, liver and  the blood. It also strengthens the capillaries, veins and arteries throughout the body.

    I'm not sure exactly why it's specifically targeting your anxiety. That's not what I know it for. There are other adaptogenic herbs that I would go to for anxiety before using goji berries. But if it's working for you, great.

    After a few months (6-8) your body may get used to taking it and it may not work as well. Adaptogens tend to be like that and taking a break and switching herbs can be helpful to maintain your results.  

    You may want to see an herbal practitioner or a naturopath to see about a specific formula for your anxiety.
