Gold microfoil?

Question

I want to know if gold microfoil like the material that gold balloons and gold candy wrappers are made of really has gold in it. I would like to know because it could be used as a heat sheild for infrared radiation. The name of a manufacturer of gold microfoil would be great as well. Thanks.

my guess is that 99.9% sure that it have never seen a speck of gold. it would be too expensive to manufacture candy wrappers with real gold in it. And I have never heard of anybody collecting candy wrappers to recycle for scrap gold like they do with old computer chips and other used electronics. so my guess is NO no gold in candy wrappers.
