Golden State Warriors crush Sacramento Kings, 119-112
The Golden State Warriors trounce the Sacramento Kings in an overtime loss, 119-112 on 21
January, Friday. The game finished its 2 hours and 28 minutes in regulation, but entered an overtime as the game was tied at 104 between both the teams. The game took place at the Oracle Arena, Oakland, CA.

Sacramento Kings tightened up their defence from the very first quarter. They clinched a number of shots over the Warriors, taking a lead from the start. Prominent players included Casspi and Cousins who helped in taking a first quarter lead over the Warriors.
Second Quarter: Sac, 23. GSW, 24
Golden State entered the second quarter with a new resolve. The Warriors took the lead with a Wright driven finger layup shot in the initial moments of the game. Shooting with offence, the Warriors ran until a tie of scores at 45-all. The Kings led after
that until the Warriors snatched the lead back at 1:45 left in halftime. End of second quarter had a tie between both the teams, 51-all.
Third Quarter: Sac, 23. GSW, 31
A much tenacious third quarter had a tirade of ties between both the teams. The lead kept rotating between both the teams and Curry’s three pointer clinched at a minute left in final chapter, gave the Warriors a much long lasting lead. GSW led at the end
of third quarter, 82-74.   
Fourth Quarter: Sac, 30. GSW, 22
(Kings) Casspi clinched a step back shot at the very beginning and Lee missed his shot for the winning team. Kings matched up the scores at 84-all once again to topple the Warriors. The victors aggravated at that point and struggled through to get the lead
back. Pushing and crossing the opponents, Curry clinched a three pointer followed by two more shots and Wright slam dunked to move 98-99, closer to the Kings.
Both the teams had the same score when the buzzer rang. The scores were tied at 104-all with a pullup shot by Ellis.
Overtime: Sac, 8. GSW, 15
Once again the ball was jumped between (GSW) Dan Gadzuric and (Kings) Cousins, Thompson caught the ball for the Kings. A series of missed shots and fouls by both the teams and then four straight shots from Ellis earned the Warriors a four point lead over
the Kings, 108-104. Kings were fouled many a times after that and the Warriors sealed a 119-112 victory over the Kings at the end of overtime.
