Golden State Warriors decimate Washington Wizards 120-100 – NBA Recap
Golden State Warriors trounced the Washington Wizards 120-100 on Monday night in a game they dominated almost throughout.
Warriors completely controlled the hosts as they connected on 54.2% from the floor while Wizards could shot only 42.4% from the same spot.
Golden State had 6 players in double figures. They were marshalled by Monta Ellis, who tallied 25 and dished out dished out 8 assists, while Klay Thompson had 18 points coming off the bench. The big Ekpe Udoh netted 17 points and David Lee recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards. Stephen Curry, who has made a speedy recovery from his foot injury, chipped in with 12 points and reserve Brandon Rush came up with 10 points for Warriors’ 15th victory of the season.
Warriors were deadly with their 3-pointers as they hit a season best 65.2% from down town.

On the other hand Wizards were still under the influence of the long road trip and the fatigue was evident from their performance.
Coach Randy Wittman concurred that after the game.
"We get one win and come into a situation where we have a team at the end of a road trip, in a back-to-back and we come in with that effort to start the game. Inexcusable, and that's on me. ... That is unprofessional. I apologize to everybody that had to watch it and had to come here tonight."
Nick Young led the Wizards bench with 25 points and John Wall recorded a double-double with 20 points and 14 assists, while forward Trevor Booker chipped in with 14 points.
JaVale McGee was the 4th player to hit double index with 10 points and 10 boards as Washington rolled down to 29 loses after this match. Warriors opened the game with a bang as they connected on 5-of-6 from down town and capped off the segment after a huge 12-2 run to claim their season’s best scoring quarter 41-24.
With that boost they reeled off another 10-2 spurt early in the 2nd stanza and left the Wizards startled at 51-26. The hosts tried to shave off the lead with a 15-5 run and tone down the deficit to 56-41 with 3:39 in hand. After wards Golden State didn’t face any difficulty to conclude the segment by stretching their lead to 65-51.
After halftime Warriors raced off to another 11-4 spurt, early in the 3rd frame and augmented their lead to 76-55. With some back and forth action and Wizards inability to reduce the gap, Golden State capped off the 3rd frame with 89-71 and maintained their double digit lead.
With 8:22 left in the final period, Wizards came up with a 15-5 run but that didn’t help them to slack the double digit lead, however they managed to get as close as 104-89.
They strived to reduce the margin of their defeat by the end of segment but their efforts remained futile as Warriors finished the game with a phenomenal 120-100 lead.
