Golden State Warriors hired agent Bob Myers as their new Assistant General Manager: NBA Update
The Golden State Warriors hired a well-known NBA player's agent, Bob Myers, as their new Assistant General Manager. The decision came after when the new owners of the Warriors have intended to groom the new Assistant GM for the next big responsibility to
hold the front office as General Manager in the next couple of years. The current GM of Warriors is Larry Riley, whose recent extension until 2013 will certainly be very helpful for his new assistant to learn from his experience.
Myers recently showed some extra-commitment staying with the Wasserman Media Group where he jointly worked with his senior agent, Arn Tellem. Myers was much appreciated by many in the basketball world when he maturely handled his clients in recent times.
Myers has represented superstars such as Brandon Roy, Brook Lopez and Kendrick Perkins, who recognised his negotiating skills and ability to convince the people with maximum outcome.
The continuous level of commitment with the Wasserman Media Group is still showing Myers’ character as how strong his loyalty with this company is where he groomed himself as a top-notch agent in the NBA. Myers did not leave his clients as he remained committed
to the Tellem and assured the Media Members as he would not be leaving with the clients. In fact the Wasserman Group will certainly take care of those who were the potential players they combined negotiated with.
Wasserman Media Group represent many teams in the National Basketball Association. Their existing clients include Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose, Los Angeles Lakers’ Pau Gasol, Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook and Portland Trail Blazers’ LaMarcus Aldridge.
The Golden State Warriors is the third NBA team who hired an agent for their executive level of post to run their basketball operations smoothly. The Phoenix Suns and the Sacramento Kings are the two others in the same Conference who have also inducted agents
in their upper management.
Though Myers is an experience pedigree in his field, but to handle and run a basketball franchise is always a tough task for any new executive.
