Golden State Warriors push Los Angeles Lakers to third straight loss, 95-87

Los Angeles Lakers lost their third straight game, as Monta Ellis led the Golden State Warriors to a 95-87 victory, at the Oracle Arena, Oakland.
Ellis scored a game high 26 points, along with six assists and three rebounds in 42 plus minutes.
David Lee scored 22 points and grabbed a whopping 17 rebounds. The Warriors shot 36 of 93 shots and were 7 of 25 from long range.
On the other hand, the Lakers fought back in the final quarter to finish on a 33 for 77 shooting from the field.
Kobe Bryant contributed a team high 25 points to finish on a 10 for 20 shooting from the field. Andrew Bynum posted 13 points and grabbed a whopping 17 rebounds in the loss whereas Pau Gasol contributed 18 to go along with seven boards.
The Los Angeles Lakers started the first quarter confidently, with an amazing number of shots to take a 10-0 run in the first two and a half minutes of the game.
Lee was the first one from the Warriors to clinch a slam dunk and break the ice covering the Warriors, 2-10.
The game progressed ahead and soon Golden State were 8-17 against the leading Lakers. The Lakers did not let go of their lead at that point and entered the second quarter with a nine point lead over the Warriors, 23-14.
The Warriors propelled into the second quarter with a 10-0 run over the Lakers, cutting their lead and turning it into their advantage, 24-23.
Matt Barnes clinched a floating jump shot to snatch back the lead, 25-24 but soon Al Thornton slam dunked, and the lead was back in the Warriors’ hand, 26-25. The same thing went on until the Warriors hit three straight to take the lead for good and enter
the locker room, dominating the Lakers by seven points, 43-36.
The Warriors did not let go of the lead in the third quarter and shocked the Lakers with a 17 point lead that they secured by outclassing them in the third quarter, 29-17.
The Lakers fought really hard in the last quarter, but the Warriors had enough backup points at hand. Bryant and Derek Fisher missed two 3-pointers that could have saved them the game, but an 87-95 loss was in their fate that they took back home.
