It's hard to guess without a picture but from your description I'd guess some sort of eggfish, maybe the phoenix eggfish. If not, maybe a calico lionhead goldfish?

It Could be a very rare sunrise goldfish, or the parents could of had it in the jeens for a very long time, It is kind of hard to describe. But i had one before it was very interesting. Hope this helps.

It has to be oranda...is a big head in the front and is normal :D
