  1. http://freshaquarium.about.com/cs/diseas...  This site is about the Ick disease. Something common for goldfish and don't worry there is a cure it does explain everything you need to do on the site............good luck........................ :)

  2. the fish is called a black moor and you cant get rid of it its a disease

  3. Sounds like ick.

You can go to any pet store and buy medicine for this. And if you follow the instructions, it should clear up within a week.

It usually costs about five to ten for the medicine, depends on the brand and how much you get.

    Good luck.

  4. It sounds like a fungus, this is usually caused by bad water quality. You (or your sister) may need to reassess how you keep your fish.

In the meantime you will need to get some anti-fungal medication such as Interpet #8 Anti Fungus and Bacteria, and make sure the water quality is immaculate with a test kit.

It is NOT Ick/Ich/White spot, this is a parasite (not a disease or fungus) that shows as tiny white spots across the whole body, like the fish has been sprinkled in salt. It will act erratically trying to scratch off the parasites.

  5. Your goldfish are called Black Moors; they're a type of fancy goldfish.  Because of their long fins, they are often susceptable to a fungus called 'Fin Rot'.  It usually occurs because of a damaged fin.  It's quite common, and is easy to treat (but if left untreated, it can destroy your fish's tail permanently).  Separate the infected fish by putting it in a quarantine tank (or a bowl set up with a filter and air pump temporarily), go to your pet store and buy an anti-fugal medication for fish such as Melafix or Methylene Blue.  Treat your fish as directed on the bottle until signs of the disease go away, then you can introduce your fish back into the aquarium.

Remember to do weekly water changes to prevent the buildup of toxins in the tank. This should prevent it from re-occuring.
