I have a goldfish that I thought had swim bladder. He can swim up and down, but mainly floats upside down at the top. His tank is clean, I have tried to fast him for a few days, and have even tried the frozen pea thing. Nothing seems to work...any suggestions?

  1. See this link below.  Go to the bottom of the page.  It has information there and also another link.  Good luck!

  2. First, ALL fish have a swim bladder. It sounds like his is infected. This is quite common among goldfish, and i have never cured it, it just goes away. Same thing for bettas. Also, it may be chronic, which means it will keep happening. Don't change the water more than normal, as this will stress him out. Do you use sand as the substrate? Goldfish acquire this also by eating too much sand.
