Ok...so My goldfish HAD dropsy but he got cured and he's swimming well again. But, while he was in the hospital tank, away from the main tank, the other goldfish in the main tank started to lose his color. He is now complete white and its sort of weird. How do I restore its color? I gave it plenty of sunlight cuz i live in cali and i put him where he get get direct sunlight. I fed it well, changed the water weekly, changed the filter, and everything but he lost color o.o.

  1. try feeding it tetra fin brand food it enhances color and helps lots with my goldfish.i'd keep him out of the sun because he might be sunbleached

  2. Hi, well done by eradicating Dropsy from your fish. All Goldfish, especially Comets have extremely unstable colour pigment & change at any time-[or never], wholly or partly. There is nothing you can do to restore his colour but he is perfectly healthy. This is an inherent trait in ornamental fish & has nothing to do with temperature, water quality, light or diet. If it's going to happen, it will! Coincidentally, one of my Comets also started turning silver in his 4th year, he's now completely silver. I also have 2 Lemon Comets-both of whom are also completely silver now.
