Question:

Golf Bag Pockets?!?!?

On my golf bag and on many others i have seen there is a pocket that is on the side and pretty shallow when you unzip it. If you put your hand in it it'd probably fit halfway. Does anybody know what that pocket is for? also, if i buy a new golf bag what features in it should i look for? i own a pull/push/hand cart which i always put my bag on if that influences the responses.

  1. They're made for quick grabs like ball markers or golf tees. Some people even put their car keys there.

  2. this is commonly referred to as a "valuables pocket" it's for your wedding ring, your watch your wallet and car keys and cell phone. If you can't fit all that stuff in it you should just leave some in the car. The other long pocket is normally for raingear or wind gear. But like arry said, "It's a pocket you can put what you want in it." well put. Lastly, if you own a cart, get a "Cart" bag. You want features that make it easy for you to do what you need. If you pull a cart then I would tell you to get full length dividers. I would also tell you to look for enough storage for what you would not normally carry, It is better to have and not need than to need and not have. Here's a link to a good bag.

this is a good starting point for a new bag to use with a pull cart. Most of the bags you should want to buy should have the features of this bag.

  3. I think is called Samsonite Golf Trunk Organizer.

  4. its a pocket

put what u want in it

  5. The small pocket is a "valuables" pocket -- watch, jewelry, cel, keys, coins, etc. On some bags, they're even "fur-lined."

The big (long) side pocket often holds clothing, rain gear (such as the bag's detachable rain cover). On some models, they're large enough to hold shoes and other bulky items.

When using a push/pull cart, I find that a cart bag (not a stand bag) is best - the legs of stand bags really get in the way when trying to strap them to a push/pull cart, and they're often too slender, causing them to move and go out of position too much for my taste during use.

  6. The big one on the side is for shoes and the smaller one is for golf balls tees your gloves etc. if it is like on the side and velvety then it is like mines and it is where i put my phone and junk
