Here's my problem. I can hit the ball fine on the driving range but on the course I just miss the ball all the time. Is there any reason for this?

  1. That is a strange one- maybe you are putting yourself under more pressure when on the course.

Might be an idea to try and book a lesson with a professional and see if that helps

  2. maybe when your at the driving range your not picking a target but just hitting

  3. yeah u aint holdin your golf stick thingy properly

  4. Time to take some lessons to develop a golf swing which you can use on the range as well as the course. You may be swinging smoothly on the range and trying to kill the ball on the course. This is a natural tendancy when you see a narrow fairway in front of you compared to the wide expanse of the range. If you are missing the ball, try focusing your attention at the very back of the ball and keep that focus  well after impact. If that doesn't work see your teaching pro.

  5. Talk to the Golf Pro of the course.  Find out if he/she or someone else can go with you on both trips, recording your swings.  Maybe something you get used to on the range isn't consistent on the course.

  6. That'sa  common problem with beginners and high handicappers. It's mostly psychological. when you're on the range, it's an open shot with no trees and no trouble. When you get to the course you don't make the same swing. YOu just need to tell yourself that your swing is as good as it was on the range and make the same moves. It'll work out.
