Golf Special Report: Betting Odds- Andalucia Valderrama Masters 2010 (Part 2)
For the ones who don’t agree with the media reports shouting Martin Kaymer as the winner of the Andalucia Valderrama Masters, here is the second half of the betting preview for the player who will win the prize money of 500,000 Euros.
Gary Boyd
The 24-year-old is experiencing a strong course appeal with an excellent form. Gary Boyd was the strong competitor for the winner in Castello Masters, which took place in Valencia. The Englishman who turned professional in 2007 shot the lowest score of the
course with a 63 and seized the third spot of the leader board.
The player is enjoying a very strong form and it is evident from his improving stats; 4 - T9 - T3. Gary had a tough blow in the beginning when he lost the playoff at Czech Open, but despite the loss, he appeared in at Gleneagles and finished in top20s. Although,
he wrapped the tournament with a score of two over, he is still standing with an aggregate of 37-under in last 12 rounds of golf.
Gary is ranked as number 10th when it comes to Green Hits in Regulation. The player has a potential for flying birdies and this is the only requirement, which has been laid to declare a victory. By all definitions, Gary Boyd will be seen in the
top two spots of the leader board on Sunday.
Peter Hanson
Peter Hanson was the winner of the Czech Open in which Gary Boyd was the runner-up. This certainly indicates the form of the player. The Swede won two playoffs in this season and was part of the Ryder Cup team. Moreover, he was also the key card behind Europe’s
victory at Royal Trophy 2010.
Peter is enjoying a strong form with a top 20th place in the Green Hits in Regulation. He's a pure ball-striker when he on the field and is known for hitting the ball longer and straighter off the tee. Moreover, he holds an impressive record at
Valderrama; four-top-25 finishes in his last five starts including his debut victory that came in Andalucia.
Lastly, like Graeme McDowell, he is fresh after a gap of one week, which indicates that chances are he will be seated at the top second spot of the leader board by the end of the tournament.
Ignacio Garrido
He is a Spaniard and he is the runner up of Castello Masters, which deduces the fact that the player will surely set a mark in the coming weekend. He was seen in lead with long and accurate tee shots. That led him to the top second finish. Moreover, he has
a record of playing in the Volvo Masters for three times during eight starts, but never before he was in such a strong form. The player is 25th in Green Hits in Regulation and 8th in driving accuracy, which indicates that the Spaniard will pose as a strong
threat for the top 50 players of the world.
Cabrera-Bello
He started with a slow start in 2010, but last week in Valencia, he stormed with a very strong score in putting. The Austrian Open winner found most of his fairways and hence led his ball to the greens with such an ease that it was hard
to determine that it was his first time there. According to the critics, he matched the score of Soren Kjeldsen who declared a victory at Valderrama in 2008.
This is it for the second half of the betting preview of the Andalucia Valderrama Masters, which will be kicking off on Thursday, 27th October, 2010 on Valderrama Golf Club. Apart from all the betting favourites, another golfer deserves attention
and that is Sergio Garcia. The Spaniard has six top-10s finishes on this course, but with the performance he delivered in Castello Masters, its better not to consider him for the victory.
