Golf Special Report: Children's Miracle Network Classic 2010 - Betting Odds (Part 2)
The 2010 Children's Miracle Network Classic has hit the Magnolia and Palm Courses in Florida to mark the end of 2010 PGA tour.
Here is the second half of the betting preview of the golf tournament:
D.A. Points:
The 33-year-old American finished with 17th place in the putting stats at the 2010 Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospital Open. Prior to that he was 3rd and 12th in two other events, which signifies that he is good at putting in Florida.
His victory in 2008 Nationwide Tour’s Miccosukee Championship helped him earn the 2009 card. Moreover, he finished seventh in the 2009 Children's Miracle Network Classic, 9th in the Honda Classic and 17th at Bay Hill. A year later,
he wrapped the course with a 65 in the last round. Therefore, the presumption of him winning the title can be put forward.
Pat Perez:
Pat Perez fired a 64 in the last round to seize the top 10 finish at Greenbrier Classic whereas the FedEx Cup brought him quite impressive stats of 33-38-14.
Apart from the BMW Championship, he seized a T14 place on a course in Las Vegas; a venue similar to
Magnolia and Palm Courses. However, this time around a better game is expected of the player as he seems to be in his comfort zone. Perez will be playing alongside his elder brother, Mike Perez and will also be attending a concert of his favourite
band ‘The Cult’.
A stress-free Perez could fire a magnificent birdie fiesta on the par-72 course. He is 14th in birdie average and 7th in putting average, which means that the player can pose a threat to the defending champion.
However, the discouraging fact is that Perez hasn’t been to this course after 2005. Looking at his track record of 2009, the player recorded a victory at Bob Hope Classic, which means he still has a potential that might take others
down.
Steve Marino:
The last man who might prove useful on the twin courses is the resident of Palm Beaches Florida. Steve has a record of giving stunning performances in the late season. (Late season starts in November)
Besides, he also has the membership of the courses which can act as another advantage for him.
In 2009, Steve vaulted a top 20 finish at the same venue, which was the best he managed in final 10 events of the US Tour. Prior to that he ventured a top six position on the 2006 Nationwide Tour and secured a victory in the Sidney
Frank Memorial Tour Championship. In the same tournament, Steve smashed the magic number of 59.
Steve Marino is ready to live up to the reputation. However, last year he stepped into the final round as a leader but faltered to 71 and finished with a third spot.
Despite all odds, the veteran is ideal for the title as he has shot 65 and couple of 66s on the same venue. Moreover, he finished 15th at the McGladrey Classic in 2008, which deduces the notion that the player is ready to take
up the challenge.
This is it for the second half of the betting preview of the 2010 Children's Miracle Network Classic,
which will be staged on Magnolia and Palm Courses in Florida. The entire event will be broadcasted live on the Sky Sports according to the tournament’s official website. However, who will win the title is a question that needs to be answered, but somehow
it won’t be possible till the weekend arrives and officially declares the champion.
