Golf Special Report: Children's Miracle Network Classic 2010 betting odds (Part 1)
PGA tour has come to a stop at Magnolia and Palm Golf Courses in Florida with a humongous field trying to compete for the tour card 2011. It’s the last call for the players of the Sunshine tour who are hanging near the 125th of the money list.
Here is the betting preview of the possible winners of the championship, which will kick off on 11th November, 2010.
Joe Durant
The 46-year-old has claimed a victory on the same venue in 2006, when Funnai Classic came to Walt Disney Resorts in November. The American shot a score of 25-under to claim a four-shot lead over Troy Matteson and Frank Lickliter II. However, after the tournament,
he barely came close to such a lead.
Despite the fact, the player is 120th on the Money lists, which are few points above the danger point. Therefore, to remain away from trouble, the player will try his utmost and will claim a top five spot to the minimum.
The player possesses all the traits that of the winner, thereby, chances are that he will finish in the top. Durant, not only claimed a victory on the same venue, but he also ventured a top five finish two years later. Once again, he is back with a strong
form and chances are that he succeeds.
In his last four events he's finished 27th, 6th, 20th and 12th.Moreover, he has brought improvement in his putting stats. He seized the 6th place in putting at the McGladrey Classic where he was finding trouble in searching the greens.
Durant is a topper at Driving Accuracy and Greens in Regulation, which signifies the potential of the player, provided the putter is on his side.
Commenting on his game Durant said, "I'm doing a lot of things well. And that's the key. I’d love to win again - I want to win again. That's why I'm out here. I want to win tournaments and contend. This is one of the biggest tournaments for me to win
because this is such a family event, and my family has been the backbone of me and my career, and we always dreamed about staying on 18 with Mickey. So this was very satisfying for our whole family, it really was."
George McNeill
The second man who requires attention is a 46-year-old American. Like Durant, McNeill too fulfils the requirements of the course.
Firstly, he is a local, which gives way to an assumption that he has a fair idea of the course. Secondly, he is 133rd on the Money List, which means he will strive to earn a card for the next year. Mc Neill has never recorded a victory on the tour, but he
came close to one in 2009, when he lost the playoff to Stephen Ames. Similar story repeated twice more in Florida; 2008 Ginn sur Mer Classic and the 2008 PODS Championship.
McNeill's sole victory came in 2007 in Las Vegas after he lost a playoff there in 2005. So chances are that he will fix the problem this year. Moreover, the 35-year-old recorded a score of 23-under-par in last two events that took place on courses similar
to Magnolia and Palm Golf Course.
This is it for the first half of the betting preview of the Children's Miracle Network Classic 2010, which will kick off on 11th November, 2010 at the Magnolia and Palm Golf Courses in Florida. The event will mark the end of the US PGA tour 2010
and will earn the top 10 players of the event the 2011 tour card. Whoever, tops the chart at putting will take the lead at the par-72 courses. The event will take place in two venues; the first two rounds will take place on the Magnolia course and the rest
two will kick on Palm Golf Course.
