Golf: Sundog Eyewear joins hands with American Junior Golf Association
The American Junior Golf Association has branded Sundog Eyewear as their official eyewear.
The news was confirmed by the Sundog Eyewear chief business officer Jason Etzen. He said, “We are proud to welcome Sundog Eyewear to the AJGA team. Their products will help our junior golfers to play their best out on the course as well as protect our staff
from the sun and its damaging effects.”
AJGA started a campaign in 2010 by the name of Sun Safetee, whose purpose was to spread awareness amongst young golfers regarding the health of their eyes.
Gary Makar, Sundog Eyewear Marketing Manager emphasised on his company’s agenda and said, “We are very proud to be teamed with the finest junior golf organization in the game. It is a wonderful opportunity to educate young golfers about the need to protect
their eyes on and off the course.”
Sundog Eyewear is a brand which has been endorsed by several super stars in golf. The list includes Paula Creamer, Tiger Woods, Hunter Mahan and Mike Weir.
Commenting on the brand, Hunter Mahan said that the AJGA played a major role in his development as a golfer and as a person.
Mahan was the 2010 chairperson for AJGA and held the honours of being the 1999 Rolex Junior Player of the Year, three-time Rolex Junior All-American and champion of the 1999 U.S. Junior Amateur.
Meanwhile, Sundog Eyewear ambassador Paula Creamer shared her views regarding the role of AJGA in a young golfer’s life.
She said that she realised the worth of her eyes ever since she started using Sundog Eyewear Collection. She further added that the collaboration of two big organisations would work wonders for the junior golfers as they would gain awareness.
Masters Champion Mike Weir also commented on the duo and said that he knew the importance of good visual health as a golfer and endorsed the message delivered by the two organisations.
Golfers require accuracy in drives to hit the ball where it is required and for that, perfect eyesight serves as a catalyst to expertise. Introduction of such programs will not only benefit the organisations themselves, but will also produce better golfers.
