Golf Update: Betting preview of top 20 players of the Austrian Open (Part 1)
The 20th edition of the Austrian Open is here at the Diamond Course, near Vienna.
Although this week is very quiet, as the PGA tour has taken a break in the honour of the Ryder cup proceeding very near and the European tour is scheduling few events in next two weeks. Austrian open falls under the Euro tour but the issue with this event is its shabby image of being a substandard event. This is the reason very few top players will be   making an appearance here. According to a record only two players from the worlds top 100 ranked players and ten from the top 200 will be seen teeing off for the purse of $1000000 from 16th -19th September.
As the tournament is here, so here is the betting list of the players who according to the polls held by the media reports will top the charts on Sunday.

1-RICHARD GREEN
This player is at the top the betting list because of the fact that he holds a better record in the Austria open. Moreover, he is one of the few players who fall in the top lot of golf fraternity. Starting with his experience with the Austrian open, Green won this title in 2007 and he holds the record   of finishing in top six for three times out of four. As for current form, he finished fifth in the Irish Open in his second last - start, and was the runner-up in the Estoril Open, which means that chances are that he will shine here as well.

2-DANNY WILLETT
According to the experts, this player holds many similarities with the defending champion of the tournament. Canberra Bello was the winner of the title last year and what makes him similar to Willett is the same age and   game style. Although Willett has far greater potential, than the defending champion but he has not seen any victory since his start. As for his current performances are concerned, he finished in the fifth spot in Le Golf National and Wentworth championship. Earlier he was seen at the farthest corner of the leader board at Hilversumsche, but even then, he managed to hit par in three rounds. That time is not far when Willett will taste his first breakthrough.

3-RAPHAEL JACQUELIN
Third on the list of top twenty players is Raphael Jacquelin. He is one of those players who fall in the top 200 players of the world. This is one of the reasons for him being on the betting list.
His earlier stats portrayed a very disappointing form but this year has been quite welcoming for the native of France. He holds the credit of posting eight top-25 finishes this year with three top threes. Apart from his stats, one thing which is quite impressing is his putting. The player knows where to strike with his fine putting skills moreover; he tends to save his best for low-scoring layouts.

4-KENNETH FERRIE

Ferrie does not hold a spectacular record but he has shown a considerable amount of improvement this year. He finished 26th in the KLM open that took place in Holland and the best part of his performance was his GIR stats, which were ranked the second highest. Moreover, he finished in the third place in two very prestigious tournaments. One was the BMW International Open and the other one was the French Open. Apart from these two, he made it in the top 20 players of the Czech Open, which means betting on this player might earn some good money this year.

5-GEORGE COETZEE

The last player of the first half of the betting preview is South African George Coetzee. Apparently, he is not one of the high achievers but recently he has caught the eyes of the Euro tour. He finished tenth at Gleneagles and was rated fifth for birdie conversion, and third for putting average.
This is it for the first half of the betting preview of the top twenty players of the Austrian Open that is taking place at the Diamond Course tomorrow.
