Golf Update: Betting preview of top 20 players of the Austrian open (Part 2)
This is the second half of the Betting preview of the top twenty players who will shine on the final day leader board of the Austrian Open which is starting tomorrow at the Diamond Club.
6-MIGUEL-ANGEL JIMENEZ
He is the sixth player on the list and the most favourite. The reason behind him being one of the betting favourites is that he falls in the top 100 players of the world. Secondly, he is the current champion of the European masters and the member of the European Ryder cup team. He has won three titles this season and is ranked as one of the finest players in the world.
7-GRAEME MCDOWELL
Another player out of top 100s, Mcdowell is the US Open champion from Pebbles beach and the member of the Ryder cup team. Apart from being the betting favourite, Mcdowell is considered for his excellent shot game which he will demonstrate on the fairways of the Diamond Club. Prior coming to the tournament, Graeme told the press that he wanted to bring his game back to form before the Ryder cup, that is why he was making an appearance at the venue.
8-GONZALO FERNANDEZ-CASTANO
Although he is facing trouble with putting nowadays but his birdie manifesto will surely pulls him out. The Spaniard is performing quite satisfactory this season, as he had three top 15 finishes in all three starts.
9-NICOLAS COLSAERTS
Next to Gonzo is Colsaerts, who is currently enjoying his best season. It was him who sprung to early lead at the KLM open last week. Therefore, chances are that he might win his debut title by the end of this year. Although the player is found telling the press that he is very tired after the last Sunday but still he will try to make the ends meet and give his best performance.
10- DAMIEN MCGRANE
McGrane is known for his ability to take a charge in bad weather conditions. Although no torrential rains are expected this week but the player surely has a winning edge. He holds the record of missing only one cut out of 14 starts and he recorded ten top 25s this year.
11-ROBERT ROCK
Robert Rock is not a famous name, as he is one o f the non winners who haven’t got a break yet. However, he is carrying a fine form this season but three missed cuts out of his last four starts is a serious concern.
12-PELLE EDBERG
Pelle is one of the non-winner but with solid claims. He holds a fine record of the Austrian open with top 15 finishes in last three Austrian Opens. Moreover, he finished second in the St Omer Open in June which means the player has all the cards to take it to the top.
13-MARKUS BRIER
Who can forget Austria's most favourite and greatest player? He was 22nd at KLM open last week, this was his only second top 25 finish throughout the season, and apparently, this was one of his worst finishes as well.
14-MIKO ILONEN
Although he is inconsistent but he had five top 15s this season, including the top ninth finish at European Masters. A record like this certainly assures him a top 20 finish in this event as well.
15-ALEXANDER NOREN
Alexander is one of those players who had amazing starts this year but eventually it turned out to be bad. However, Noren is looking forward for a victory by the end of the season so hopefully the player will be seen in top 20 of the leader board.
16-MARTIN WIEGELE
Wiegele is Brier’s compatriot which means that he too has an edge of playing at home ground. Martin has recorded two victories in this year out of which one was in Austria on the Challenge Tour and the other was at St Omer Open.
17-TANO GOYA
Tano holds the record of Top 11 finishes in two tournament out of his last three starts. Moreover, he won the Madeira Island Open last year which means he has chance this year as well.
18-OBERT COLES
Coles finished 17th at KLM open and 5th at European Masters. He's yet to post a victory win on the main tour, but did land two titles on last year's Challenge Tour.
19-ADILSON DA SILVA
Da Silva is the winner on the Sunshine Tour and his last three results have been attaining the second, first and third positions, which means that the player is in his winning form and if he wins it won’t be any surprise.
20-DAVID DIXON
The last player on the betting list is David Dixon and the reason for him being here is a top-ten finish in Austrian open last year, moreover he was ranked fourth for GIR at KLM open which signifies yet another top 10 finish this year.
