Golf Update: George Coetzee clings onto the top-spot at Atzenbrugg
The Australian Open Golf tournament is in full swing and the golfer from South Africa George Coetzee is creating marvels.
Very recently the 24-year-old South African carded a seven under par 65 and held the one blow lead, following the first opening round of the Australian Open Gold event being held in the beautiful golf course of Atzenbrugg. The recent performance of this
young South African has definitely given him a very strong confidence boost to play in the next season. George made some brilliant strokes and shot 8 birdies, and is now confident enough to participate in the next season’s European Golf tour. But still he
has to perform even better to capture a place for the golf tour of 2011. While talking about his performance at Atzenbrugg, the South African seemed pretty relaxed and confident and told the media that he is feeling very happy with the way he has performed,
and he will try his level best to retain his good playing form. While talking about his ambitions for the next season, George Coetzee expressed his thoughts very excitedly and said that he is trying to give his full, and he is quite confident to play in the
tour of 2011. He added that all of his focus is to perform perfectly and capture a strong place for the next season and in the next year’s tour. It is also to be remembered that Coetzee is currently at the 142nd spot to compete in Dubai and only
top 115 will get a guaranteed chance to participate in the next season. So it is going to be a tough competition for the young golfer. While talking about his future plans and ambitions regarding his professional golfing career, George Coetzee told the media
that he wants to play more golf, as he is trying his best to stay fit and compete at every tournament. Coetzee added that he is very happy to play the golf tournament in Australia, and he will give his best to make his way for the upcoming golfing events.
Later he added that his focus is to improve his game, as presently his golfing career is most important to him.
Talking about the other golfers participating in the Australian Open golf tournament, one cannot ignore the participation and existence of ace golfer, the winner of 2007 Hong Kong Open winner Jose Manuel Lara. Currently George Coetzee is followed by Lara
with under par 66. On the other hand, the Australian golfer Terry Pilkadaris is also playing pretty well in front of his home crowd and standing very close to the leader Coetzee with under par 66. Both, Jose Manuel Lara and Australian Terry Pilkadaris are
fighting hard to hold their positions for the next tour. While talking about his current position and performance in the Australian Open, the 33-year-old Spaniard seemed very confident and told the media that he is very satisfied with the way he has performed.
He added that he has gained some confidence, and he is very hopeful for a better performance in the future. While talking about his game plan and ambitions, Jose Manuel Lara expressed his views by saying that he is feeling good about his game now; he is playing
well then before and hitting the ball pretty better.
To perform in the next season and tour of Dubai, George Coetzee, Lara and Pilkadaris have to stay put and perform really well, as they are still behind the mark of top 115. Currently the leader at Atzenburgg in Australian Open George Coetzee needs to focus
over his game, as this young golfer has got all the ability to get into the list of top golfers of the world and his capability with courage is showing that he is well eager to get to the glory.
