Golf Update: HSBC Golf Championship 2010- Woods, Kaymer and Mickelson eyeing the top spot
The thirty four years old American golfing legend Tiger Woods is eyeing to clutch back the world number one rank from his British arch rival Lee Westwood by winning the HSBC Champions golf event in China.
The thirty seven years old top golfer from Great Britain, Lee Westwood has recently usurped the world number one crown from the American and now Woods is hoping to snatch the crown back by winning the about to start golf tournament. It is to be notified
that there are still three main contenders for the top rank of golf and all have equal chances of winning the world number one title.
In a very recent interview the American legend, Woods expressed his thoughts and ambitions while talking to the media. Woods said that it is very much possible for him to snatch back the world number one crown from the Englishman if he wins the HSBC golf
event. He added and said that it is very important for a top player to perform consistently well.
The American veteran said that he has not performed well this year but he has come to China to win the HSBC tournament as he is feeling much confident now and ready to give the best of him. While talking about the importance of the HSBC golf tournament,
the thirty four years old said that this is probably the biggest Asian golf event and it will definitely affect his world ranking.
It is also reported that Tiger Woods is hoping to participate in the Australian Masters golf event and Chevron World Challenge golf tournament after playing in China. When he was asked about his future plans and strategies, the golfing veteran said that
he is trying his level best to end the current golf season in a marvellous way, as there are still some tournaments ahead and he will continue his better performance.
Tiger Woods said that this year has been one of the worst years of his professional golf career but he has learned a lot from his failure and now his only focus is to improve his ranking and golf technique. The fourteen major titles winner said that victory

On the other hand, the current world number three German veteran Martin Kaymer and forty years old American ace golfer Phil Mickelson are also eyeing the world number one spot. Mickelson is of the view that his chances of clutching the world number one rank
